Students receive 2015 national title for demonstrating a high standard of leadership.

TORONTO, ONTARIO (May 11, 2015) – Five students from across Canada have received the 2015 Unilever Leaders for a Bright Future award by this country’s largest student leadership development organization, Enactus Canada, and proud supporter Unilever. The awards presentation took place at the 2015 Enactus Canada National Exposition today in Toronto.

The 2015 Unilever Leaders for a Bright Future are:

  • Dustin Paisley, Mount Royal University
  • Kate Armstrong, St. Lawrence College
  • Elan Keshen, Western University
  • Stefany Nieto, Ryerson University
  • Sam Thumm, University of Ottawa

These five entrepreneurial and socially conscious student leaders were selected for their vision and leadership, their use of entrepreneurial action to improve the quality of life and standard of living of others as well as their ability to serve as a role model and inspire others.

“Celebrating and supporting young individuals empowers them to challenge the status quo and make positive change in their communities,” said Nicole Almond, Enactus Canada president. “Enactus is proud to partner with Unilever to shape generations of entrepreneurial leaders who work daily to impact the lives of people in their community for the better.”

The Unilever Leaders for a Bright Future program is designed to recognize and celebrate Enactus students who have demonstrated the Unilever Standards of Leadership through their 2014-2015 Enactus journey.

Awards were distributed at the 2015 Enactus Canada National Exposition, where more than 1,200 delegates including the country’s brightest university and college students, academic professionals and top Canadian CEOs came together to advance the economic, social and environmental health of Canada..
