ACTING VICE PRESIDENT, PARTNERSHIPS (FUND DEVELOPMENT)

Enactus Canada is proud to announce an Acting Vice President, Partnerships (Fund Development) role at our National Office in downtown Toronto.

Enactus Canada is currently operating in a hybrid model, with team members working remotely and in the office one to two days per week. The number of on-site days will increase leading up to events and will change as our business needs change. Travel to events and meetings with partners will be required.

About the Role

Reporting to the CEO, and a key partner on the Leadership Team, the Acting Vice President, Partnerships (Fund Development) is responsible for the fund development activities at Enactus Canada. This means leading a team of three staff to manage the existing relationships of Enactus Canada; growing new relationships; expand corporate relationships; advance work with Foundations; grow our relationship with individual donors; support our special events through our relationship with competition judges; and advance opportunities with government. You are a well rounded and experienced fund development specialist!

As we explore what is feasible during your tenure, we are keen to build on our foundation, and with your leadership and skills pursue expansion into new growth opportunities. Therefore, we have outlined the range of activities that are under consideration:

  • Maintain and expand existing corporate, foundation, and individual relationships and create new opportunities for growth of prospective Partners.
  • Explore opportunities for securing support from all levels of government for our work.
  • Research, prepare/review, and submit relevant grant applications.
  • Explore business development opportunities for our existing and potential social enterprise opportunities.
  • Enhance engagement with our Academic Partners, Student Teams, and Strategic Partners for joint fund development opportunities.
  • Work as part of a dynamic and closeknit team, committed to growing social entrepreneurship in Canada.
  • As part of a strong team, you may be required to support the projects of your colleagues.
  • Prepare and/or deliver reports to the Enactus Canada Board of Directors.
  • Travel within Canada and possibly internationally, may also be required.

Qualifications

If you’re looking to work in an extremely rewarding environment and you enjoy a fast-paced setting, this may be the place for you. We’re looking for an independent and hard-working individual who is driven to succeed. Here are a few things we’re seeking in the ideal candidate:

  • College diploma and/or university undergraduate degree in a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years experience in a diverse fundraising environment, including leadership and development of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong leadership skills with a supportive and can-do leadership style.
  • Computer savvy with knowledge of and experience with fundraising software, this role will work with us on our digitization efforts, including the selection of our CRM system.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and superior skills in building and maintaining relationship.
  • Experience with the Enactus program while in college or university is considered a definite asset.
  • The ideal candidate is also bilingual: French/ English.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
